Our Mastermind has 2 groups – Growth-focused owners and Start-Up-focused soon-to-be-owners. Growth and Start-Up members have their own Community Calls and specific Slack channels. All members attend Guest Expert Calls together and all other Slack channels are open for everyone.

A message from our President
My name is Veronica Pike. I’m a family nurse practitioner who had the crazy idea of starting my own healthcare practice back in 2013 …in the highly restrictive state of Texas no less!
The start-up process was hard. My education fell dismally short in preparing me to start my own business, plus I didn’t have any peers to look to for guidance or support. So, I did what most people do when looking for answers – I took to the web.
First, I went to my state board of nursing website. No information.
Next up was my NP professional organization. No information.
Ok, I thought – Google it is!
I found forums with a couple of threads by people looking for answers to the same questions I had, but I couldn’t find any reputable resources about APN owned practices.
Next stop: Amazon. I ordered every book I could find on the subject, but most of the information was too general or based in theory, with no applicable instructions on how to actually start or run an APN practice.
I also turned to attorneys for advice. Turns out that if you ask three different attorneys the same question, you’ll likely get three different answers! (And in some cases, I received flat out incorrect advice!)
I eventually overcame these obstacles and started my first practice (Med2You), but the process took a lot longer than needed – thanks to a lack of information and guidance.
The struggle wasn’t over yet. I’ve learned that being an entrepreneur means being a professional problem-solver. This is great, because I love challenges. But must I face every challenge alone? Why should I reinvent the wheel time and time again? It was so exhausting.
It was at this moment that the idea for the American Academy of Nurse Entrepreneurs was born. The AANE has designed the educational programs, resources, and community support network to fast-track the success of APN business owners. And the Nurse Owner Mastermind is our elite program. In the Nurse Owner Mastermind, we’re able to dive deep into what your practice needs in order to thrive.

It’s LIVE! We do record our group calls and guest expert deep dives so you can refer back to them whenever you need to! As a Mastermind member, you make the commitment – for yourself and for the group – to attend our monthly group calls. This is how we step up and support one another throughout the year.

Yes! There are plenty of ways you can get your questions quickly answered. In addition to our monthly group calls, we also have an active discussion group within Slack – a free, easy-to-use chat.
If you are 6-months away from opening your practice, then yes, you can still apply for the Mastermind. We have 2 distinct groups within for the Nurse Owner Mastermind – new Nurse Owners and established Nurse Owners. We all come together for our Guest Expert Calls and have open discussions within Slack as well.
We also have dedicated Slack channels for each group to make sure everyone gets the specific value they need. The new and established Nurse Owners also have their own monthly group calls with Veronica, making sure we’re meeting you exactly where you’re at.
